No Job? Start A Business

One of my most successful clients recently reminded me that he started his consulting business during the 2008 recession when no one was hiring. Instead of asking companies for employment, he asked for consulting projects. Companies were willing to engage him as an independent contractor for short-term projects because they could get the services they needed without incurring the expenses associated with an employee (e.g., training, payroll taxes, employee benefits). In turn, my client was able to acquire enough work to support his family. He continued asking businesses for consulting projects and never needed to look for employment again. Twelve years later, his consulting business is thriving.

My client encountered legal issues when he started his business. You will too. My book, Before You Leap, will help you with those issues. Buy it from Amazon by clicking on the image:
